July 9, 2025 NCAtrak Outage

At 3:40 AM Eastern Time on July 9, 2025, the NCAtrak database became unavailable do to an error in a maintenance procedure designed to improve the intermittent issues impacting reporting. This issue prevented user logins to the NCAtrak application.

At 10:24 AM Eastern Time, the NCAtrak team completed a procedure in coordination with Microsoft Azure Support which restored the database to full functionality. For any questions regarding the outage, please contact the NCAtrak Support team.

July 7, 2025 NCAtrak Service Degradation

On July 7th, the NCAtrak team became aware of an intermittent timeout issue preventing long reports, such as the VOCA report, from completing successfully. This timeout issue is caused by a high volume of report requests occurring at once.

If you encounter an issue with your reports timing out and you are redirected to this page, please attempt running your report either early in the morning or late at night. You can contact the NCAtrak Support team with any other questions you may have.

July 1, 2025 NCAtrak Service Degradation

*Update at 12:31 PM*
At 11:42 PM Eastern Time, system health returned to normal and the service degradation incident was marked closed. NCAtrak is responding normally and reports should be running without issue.

The NCAtrak development team is implementing new maintenance procedures recommended by Microsoft to prevent this type of service degradation in the future. A new weekly maintenance window is planned for Monday mornings at 2-4 AM Eastern Time. During that maintenance window, NCAtrak will remain available but may run slower than normal.

At 10:40 AM Eastern Time on July 1, 2025, the NCAtrak team became aware of a service degradation issue impacting the same cloud infrastructure which caused the outage on June 30, 2025. The team is actively working with ClearDATA and Microsoft Support to determine the cause of the service degradation and mitigate the impact to users.

During this time, NCAtrak may run more slowly than normal. Any reporting will also be unavailable until the cloud infrastructure can be restored to a healthy state.

June 30, 2025 NCAtrak Outage

At 9:21 PM Eastern Time, NCAtrak came back online after Microsoft restored its network infrastructure. The NCAtrak team is working with Microsoft to understand the root cause of the infrastructure outage and make any necessary changes.

At 4:41 PM Eastern Time on June 30, 2025, a service health issue in Microsoft’s Eastern US region caused an outage of the cloud network infrastructure supporting NCAtrak. The NCAtrak team is working with Microsoft Azure Support to address the cause of this networking issue.
